Fiery journalist and personality Tucker Carlson made waves in the past week by revealing that he would be voting for Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election cycle.
He shared his thoughts on the “Roseanne Barr Podcast” during Episode 24. Carlson explained, “I became an active Trump supporter when they raided Mar-a-Lago…that can’t stand. And I agree with Trump on a lot. And even if I disagreed with Trump on a lot, I’d still be a Trump supporter, because you cannot allow that.”
Carlson, who became nationally known as a host on Fox News before his firing in the late spring, also derided Joe Biden for utilizing the Justice Department to go after his political opponent and the “frontrunner” in the presidential race.
“It’s bigger than Trump, it’s bigger than Biden,” Carlson continued. “It’s a question of, do you want to live in a free country with a functioning justice system…? So, I’m voting for Trump, and if they convict him, I will send him the max donations, and I will lead protests. That’s how I feel.”
Carlson now hosts a wildly successful independent show on social media called “Tucker Carlson on X.” His videos consistently garner tens of millions of views and, sometimes, hundreds of millions of views.
The former Fox host also told Barr, “By the way, if I thought that he had committed some real crime, I wouldn’t feel that way. But he didn’t.”
Carlson has been a consistent critic of the DOJ’s legal attacks aimed at President Trump. In October, he also slammed the New York court system in the ongoing civil suit that has been brought against the president, decrying, “Trump is the frontrunner in the presidential race. He’s currently beating Joe Biden in the polls, yet liberals have decided you should not be allowed to elect him president. That’s not democracy. It’s the opposite. It’s totalitarianism.”
