The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) launched a nationwide campaign to promote American foods. On Tuesday, it promoted the new “Product of the USA” food label. This supports American farmers and gives Americans the assurance that their groceries are a product of the U.S.A.

The USDA’s press release noted that the label took effect on January 1, 2026, and that this boost is designed to increase consumer awareness of the new voluntary label.
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. praised the campaign for offering “honest information” to American shoppers and putting American food first.
The move was also celebrated by U.S. Small Business Administrator Kelly Loeffler, who stated, “When we choose to purchase from American producers, we get a superior product while supporting the hardworking family farms who put it all on the line every day to feed, clothe, and fuel our nation.”

The United States has a long agricultural history, which was not lost on the Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins. She celebrated the new campaign in a post on X, stating, “When you see the Product of USA label, it means exactly what it says — born here, raised here, harvested here, processed here. No shortcuts.”
“Supporting American producers starts with knowing where your food comes from,” she added. “When it carries the flag, it should come from our land — and that’s exactly what Product of USA delivers.”
What an incredible National Ag Day right here @USDA… and what a powerful launch of Product of USA! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
