White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivered a press briefing on Thursday, highlighting the success of recent American strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and assuring the world that President Trump is always focused on achieving peace.

“Operation Midnight Hammer,” Leavitt said, would “go down in the history books” as an “overwhelming success.”

She praised President Trump for being the first president to take real action against the threat of Iranian-sponsored terrorism.

“Barack Obama and Joe Biden sent pallets of cash…in a failed attempt to buy the Iranian regime’s compliance with a weak and ineffective deal,” she said. “President Trump sent a fleet of American war planes to destroy Iran’s ability to produce a nuclear weapon. The United States and the entire world are safer because of this president’s decisiveness.”

In the wake of American strikes against Iran, Leavitt emphasized President Trump’s commitment to pursuing peace. “The president wants peace, he always has,” she said.

Leavitt continued, “Now we’re on a diplomatic path with Iran. The president and his team, namely Special Envoy Witkoff, continue to be in communication with the Iranians and especially our Gulf and Arab partners in the region to come to an agreement with Iran.”

She said the partnership and friendship between the United States and the State of Israel has “never been stronger” and “we see a new era in which, perhaps, some of these Gulf and Arab states can sign onto the Abraham Accords.”

The Abraham Accords were cemented during President Trump’s first term, brokering a series of agreements between Israel and a slate of Arab nations to strengthen peace, promote interfaith and intercultural dialogue, and essentially work to end conflict in the Middle East.
