White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed on Tuesday that deportation flights to Guantanamo Bay have begun, following a directive from President Trump to utilize the migrant operations center there to offload dangerous illegal aliens from American soil.

“President Trump is not messing around, and he is no longer going to allow America to be a dumping ground for illegal criminals from all over this world,” she told Fox Business.

Leavitt said that on Tuesday, “the first flights from the United States to Guantanamo Bay with illegal migrants are underway.”

Last week, President Trump directed the Secretaries of Defense and Homeland Security to take action to expand the migrant operations center at the naval station in Guantanamo Bay “to provide additional detention space for high-priority criminal aliens unlawfully present in the United States,” with the aim of addressing the illegal immigration crisis.

“This memorandum is issued in order to halt the border invasion, dismantle criminal cartels, and restore national sovereignty,” the official White House memorandum read.

President Trump announced that he would be utilizing Guantanamo Bay’s holding facility to house illegal aliens during a ceremony at the White House last week, where he impactfully signed the Lake Riley Act into law – legislation honoring the life of a 22-year-old woman who was murdered by an illegal alien in Georgia.

The act will require federal law enforcement to detain illegals arrested for small offenses, and it further provides a pathway for states to sue the federal government for failing to protect the sovereignty of the United States.

During remarks at the ceremony, Trump noted that many of the violent aliens on American soil were so dangerous that his administration didn’t trust other countries to hold onto them after repatriation.

“Some of them are so bad we don’t even trust the countries to hold them,” he said. “Because we don’t want them back so we’re going to send them out to Guantanamo…that’s a tough place to get out of.”

In an astonishing twist, Karoline Leavitt also confirmed on Tuesday that El Salvador has also agreed to not only receive repatriation flights of their own people from American soil but have additionally greenlit receiving and jailing illegals from other countries who are deported from the United States.
