President Donald Trump has been racking up a long list of 2024 endorsements in his bid to reclaim the White House, prompting seasoned lawmakers and conservative leaders to come together to throw their support behind the 45th president.
On Thursday, Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla., announced his endorsement of President Trump, joining a plethora of other Florida lawmakers who have coalesced to bolster the MAGA agenda.
In a statement made to Breitbart, Waltz said:
“Today I am proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President. Under his leadership, President Trump secured our southern border, created seven million jobs with record-low unemployment, brought manufacturing back to the U.S., made America energy independent and affordable, brokered historic Middle East peace deals, destroyed the ISIS caliphate, launched the Space Force, took out Soleimani, gave veterans choice, and put measures in place to stop China’s march towards global dominance.”
According to the Washington Examiner, Waltz is the 11th member of the Florida Republican delegation to endorse President Trump, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R), who has not yet announced a bid, has not accrued more than a handful of endorsements so far.
Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas, also announced his endorsement of President Trump this week following what he called a “positive” meeting with Gov. DeSantis.
He wrote on Twitter, “Today, after careful consideration and a positive meeting with Governor DeSantis, I have decided to endorse President @realDonaldTrump for 2024. I look forward to fighting alongside him to reclaim our country from the leftist forces trying to destroy it.”
As reported by RSBN, President Trump also recently snagged an endorsement from Sen. Ted Budd, R-N.C. Budd highlighted the president’s past success running the country, noting, “Neighborhoods were safer. Across the globe, we were achieving peace. We were respected by allies and feared by enemies. That’s why I endorse Donald J. Trump for President. Hardworking, everyday families need a return of the America First agenda to restore prosperity and peace.”
