Two very different movements are taking place thousands of miles apart. In Iran, the people are fighting for their freedom after suffering 47 years of human rights violations under the Islamic Republic of Iran’s reign. In Minnesota, leftist protesters are opposing the enforcement of United States immigration law and due process involving investigations surrounding mass fraud.
While leftist agitators claim to be fighting against “oppression,” they remain free to communicate and peacefully oppose agents without concern, but in Iran, it is another story. Masses of Iranians have reportedly been killed for merely attending protests, internet services have been shut off, and Iranian forces are continuing to flex tyrannical power over the people as they refuse to back down.
🚨🇮🇷 PROTESTS RAGE ACROSS 100+ IRANIAN CITIES AS REGIME CRACKDOWN BACKFIRES
— Mario Nawfal (@MarioNawfal) January 13, 2026
From Tehran to Tabriz and beyond, Iranians are still owning the streets tonight.
The regime is throwing everything at them: blackouts, live fire, propaganda overdrive.
None of it is working.

The Center for Human Rights in Iran confirmed that the protests began on Dec. 28, igniting new hope as the movement spread across the nation to oppose the Islamic Republic’s corruption, mismanagement of natural resources and the economy, and, notably, its oppression of the people. By Jan. 6, the report noted that dozens had been confirmed killed, including six children.
Amnesty International’s 2024 report regarding Iran found that Iran has continuously censored the media, jailed reporters, and banned all independent political parties. Iranians have been subjected to unfair trials, disappearances, and torture. Women, girls, and minorities have continued to be treated as second-class citizens with laws and restrictions that support forced marriage of minors, restrictive housing, education, and employment policies, in addition to unlawful killings.
The 2020 U.S. State Department report on Iran acknowledged these atrocities and deemed Iran a “dangerous regime,” also noting the Islamic Republic of Iran’s support of terrorism and environmental exploitation designed to weaken the people and control them by controlling the devastated water supply.

Now, as the Iranian people seek to reclaim their Persian heritage, they have flooded the streets demanding justice. Leader of the resistance and Crown Prince of the pre-Iranian Revolution, Reza Pahlavi, has encouraged protesters and pleaded with military members not to fire on civilians. Most recently, he posted on X, asserting that thousands of security forces have refused to report for duty during the uprising.
It is an incredible moment in history for Iranians as they seek to end a truly tyrannical government. Over 500 protesters have been killed in the conflict, according to the New York Post.

This includes Rubina Aminian, a 23-year-old Kurdish fashion design student from Marivan. Iran Human Rights posted to X, stating, “The family was taken to a location near the college where they were confronted with the bodies of hundreds of young people killed during the protests. Most of the victims were young people between 18 and 22 years old, who had been shot at close range in the head and neck by government forces.”
Meanwhile, in Minnesota, American liberals who claim to be fighting against “oppression” have taken to the streets in Minneapolis because a single “protester” who violently rammed an ICE agent with her car was shot and killed while carrying out her attack.

The left’s “peaceful protests” are nothing like the Iranian’s fight for freedom; they are chaotic riots that seek to instill mob rule instead of rising up against injustice. Instead of offering clear logical solutions or simply seeking the freedom to walk down the street without being arrested for praying the wrong way, they support attacking ICE agents, terrorising law enforcement, and threatening anyone who disagrees with them.
This isn’t anything new. We all witnessed the “Fiery but mostly peaceful protests” from the left during the 2020 riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Leftists scream about justice and democracy while obstructing due process and directly inciting violence.
This most recent insanity started when 23-year-old independent journalist Nick Shirley released a report unveiling mass fraud within federal funding to Somali daycare centers in Minnesota. The released information led to further investigation, uncovering so many concerns that $10 billion in child care funding was frozen across five states.
But instead of resigning or seeking to aid federal investigations, Minnesota state leaders, such as Governor Tim Walz, have downplayed the reports and called Shirley “a delusional conspiracy theorist.”
Those who oppose U.S. law and order have more in common with the Islamic Republic of Iran than its freedom fighters. And it shows.
After the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was deployed in Minnesota on Jan 6, protesters began to oppose federal law enforcement. Then, Minneapolis “protester” Renee Good and her partner confronted an ICE agent. Multiple videos have surfaced online displaying Good ramming the federal officer with her car as he shoots her in self-defense. Good was killed for her actions, but despite this, thousands of anti-ICE protesters have flooded the city to defend her unlawful actions.
Disgusting lies like this from the @washingtonpost are going to get ICE agents k*lled. They're actually claiming the agent in Minneapolis wasn't hit by Renee Nicole Good.

They are supporting mob rule, chaos, and violence — the opposite of what a free nation supports.
Minneapolis police have been attacked by rioters. Journalist Nick Sortor was threatened and suffered property damage, while conservatives who support ICE efforts and the officer who killed Good when she endangered his life have been harassed.
What’s more, the Minnesota Star Tribune reported that 30 people were arrested Friday night for property damage and blocking traffic, but all suspects were quickly released despite racking up $6,000 in property damage in a single night.

Violent American leftist rioters get to walk free while Iranians who are simply seeking basic human rights are killed by their government. The contrast boldly mocks the left’s desperation for attention.
The left idolizes the idea of an uprising, but its members struggle to find any actual atrocities to rise against, as the few tragedies they seek to immortalize through false martyrdom involve less-than-worthy players who refused to represent the qualities that embody a just cause. They have no uprising. Their cause is simply destruction and maybe a few minutes of internet fame.
Meanwhile, Iranians seek a better life that allows them to gain basic human rights like food, shelter, and water, without fear of being tortured, disappeared, or executed. There is no comparison.
