Friday, September 28, 2018: The Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on whether to favorably recommend Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. If the committee approves Kavanaugh’s nomination, it will then go to the Senate floor for a final vote. However, even is Kavanaugh is rejected by the committee, there have been cases where a nominee has been brought up in the full Senate without committee approval.
