President Donald Trump sharply criticized Democrats on Sunday, pressing Congress to pass the SAVE America Act and blaming Democratic opposition for a prolonged funding dispute affecting the Department of Homeland Security.

The standoff has disrupted airport operations and left thousands of federal security workers without pay.

In a message posted on Truth Social, Trump linked international tensions with domestic political conflict.

“Now with the death of Iran, the greatest enemy America has is the Radical Left, Highly Incompetent, Democrat Party! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT,” he wrote.

President Trump has made passage of the SAVE America Act a central priority in recent weeks, saying he will not sign other legislation until the elections measure moves forward in Congress.

The bill would require proof of citizenship for voter registration and establish new voter identification rules. Democrats argue the proposals could make it harder for eligible voters to cast ballots.

The dispute has unfolded alongside a weeks-long stalemate over funding for the Department of Homeland Security.

President Trump has accused Democrats of prolonging the lapse by pushing for changes to immigration enforcement policies. Democratic lawmakers say their opposition stems from concerns about civil liberties and oversight of federal immigration authorities.

As the shutdown has continued, tens of thousands of Transportation Security Administration employees have been required to work without pay. Officials say the situation has contributed to staffing shortages and longer lines at airport security checkpoints during the spring travel season.

Trump said immigration authorities would assist airport security operations if the situation continues.

“On Monday, ICE will be going to airports to help our wonderful TSA Agents who have stayed on the job,” he wrote in a separate post on Sunday.
