President Donald Trump made a historic return to the great state of Michigan on Tuesday, rallying with triumphant supporters in Warren to celebrate the stunning achievements of his first 100 days in office.
The president was full of energy and sported a wide smile when he took the stage, hot on the heels of a speech delivered at Selfridge National Air National Guard Base.
President Trump’s remarks in Michigan were thoughtful, triumphant, and at times, rife with good-natured humor.
“I’m thrilled to be back in this beautiful state with thousands of proud, hardworking American patriots, and we’re here tonight in the heartland of our nation to celebrate the most successful first 100 days of any administration in the history of our country!” he declared.
The crowd was fired up to see President Trump, and it was clear that the Commander-in-Chief was enjoying himself, even stopping at one point to note that he missed seeing the usual campaign attendees like the “Front Row Joes.”
“We’ve just gotten started, you haven’t seen anything yet,” Trump told the crowd, reflecting on the past lightning-fast 100 days of action and America First dominance.
Total victory on the border
Trump emphasized heavily his administration’s work to seal and secure the southern border and immediately move to deport dangerous illegal alien gang members from MS-13 and Tren de Aragua.
“What the world has witnessed in the past 14 weeks is a revolution of common sense,” he explained. “…It’s about common sense.”
He celebrated his big win in November and noted, “You finally have a president who is defending our borders and our nation.”
Trump drew attention to the “dramatic” transformation and success at the border, where he boasted a “99.999 percent” drop rate in illegal border crossings. “I can proudly report that this heinous betrayal is over,” he said, slamming Joe Biden’s border invasion, “and we have achieved the most secure border in American history by far.”
The president added that had he not won the election in 2024, Democrats would have imported “10 million” more invaders and given amnesty to 30-40 million more.
“It would have been only a matter of years or months until America became a failed, third-world nation,” he said.
Trump even played a video recapping the ongoing arrests and deportation flights of vicious gang members, which drew massive cheers of “USA! USA!” from the crowd.
“Under President Trump, America is a dumping ground for criminals NO LONGER,” he said, elevating his “solemn duty” as Commander-in-Chief to protect America’s sovereignty.
“Nothing will stop me in my mission to keep America safe again,” he vowed.
Immediate economic relief
President Trump also touted his administration’s 14-week effort so far to assuage Biden’s inflation nightmare, which has hit middle class Americans hardest. “Energy prices are down, mortgage rates actually just went down, prescription drug prices just saw their largest monthly decline ever recorded,” he said.
He also noted gains in dropping energy prices, dropping gasoline prices, and core inflation. These improvements in the economy, according to the president, are all linked to his swift action to open up domestic oil drilling and extraction, kick-starting coal production, and working to “DRILL, BABY, DRILL!”
“In three months, we have created 350,000 jobs,” he said.
He also added that “for the first time in recent history” job gains for native-born Americans are exceeding job gains for foreign workers.
“Now we’re respected all over the world, they’re coming from all over the world to see your president,” he quipped, referring to the many, many world leaders who have flown to Washington, D.C., to meet with him.
Too many wins to count
The president’s slate of accomplishments in just three months is hard to believe, but during his speech, he flew through a flurry of achievements that have been direct fulfillments of his campaign promises:
- Terminating the Electric Vehicle Mandate,
- Terminating the Department of Education,
- Declassifying the JFK, RFK, and Martin Luther assassination files,
- Renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America,
- Restoring the name of Mt. McKinley,
- Reinstating Columbus Day in America,
- Signing an executive order to require voter ID to vote in American elections.
President Trump also urged Republicans to pass “one big, beautiful bill” in Congress to codify the Trump tax cuts and beyond. He said this bill will include the termination of taxes on tips, Social Security, and overtime – more campaign promises.
“Every single day of my administration, we will continue to live by the motto: promises made, promises kept,” he said.
In his conclusion, Trump looked toward the future, promising to defend religious freedom, and emphasized the importance teaching America’s children to “love our country” and honor her history.
“America is a free, proud, and sovereign nation once more, and our magnificent destiny is closer than ever before…our golden age has only just begun!” he said.
