The second day of jury deliberations in the ongoing “Biden Trial” in New York City resumed on Thursday morning, once again drawing President Trump back to court as the nation waits to hear what the verdict will be.
The 45th president spoke briefly with the media before entering the courtroom around 9:30 a.m. ET, noting, “This is a very sad day for America. The whole world is watching, and it’s a very sad day for New York…it’s all rigged, the whole system is rigged.”
He added, “The outside world is watching and the outside world is just not going to bring their business to the state…and people are fleeing.”
On Wednesday, Americans were likely surprised when news broke that presiding Judge Juan Merchan told the jury that they did not have to reach a unanimous decision to render a guilty verdict in the 34-count felony case against the president.
“This means they could split 4-4-4 and the judge would still treat them unanimously,” Fox News’ Harris Faulkner explained this week.
NCLU Communications Director Paul Ingrassia reported from the courtroom on Thursday that Judge Merchan continued to refuse to give the jury written transcripts of testimony that was requested on Wednesday.
Ingrassia criticized, “This so-called Judge is clearly a micromanager and control freak, and wants his hand in every single aspect of the proceeding to lead the jury to the desired verdict. Not a good look! Jury tampering!”
The jury could potentially reach a verdict on Thursday. It would not be out of the question for deliberations to continue as long as next week. RSBN previously reported that Trump spokeswoman and lawyer Alina Habba postulated that “if they do the right thing” she expected a hung jury.
