According to a shocking new report from America First Legal (AFL), the Biden administration and its officials appear to have been involved in the FBI’s unprecedented raid of President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida last summer.

Via Fox News, a Freedom of Information Act request (FOIA) made by America First Legal found that the FBI first gained access to Trump’s records through a special request made at the behest of the Biden White House.

Per AFL:

“Today, America First Legal (AFL) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the National Archives and Records Administration’s (NARA) Office of the Inspector General to obtain records related to the Biden White House’s ‘Special Access Request’ for President Trump’s records located at Mar-a-Lago. On August 8, 2022, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted an unprecedented raid of Mar-a-Lago on the ground that potentially classified records existed there. According to press reports, Biden Administration aides were ‘stunned’ to hear of this development.”

In fact, in August 2022, CBS reported that Biden White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed, “We learned about this, the president learned about this, just like you all did, through the public reports. And we learned about this just like the American people did.”

She added, “No one at the White House was given a heads-up.”

The AFL’s investigation into the Mar-a-Lago raid, however, paints a very different picture than what was presented by Jean-Pierre.

Via their official statement, AFL pointed out, “…new NARA records obtained through America First Legal’s investigation into the circumstances surrounding the Mar-a-Lago raid further confirmed that the FBI obtained access to these records through a ‘special access request’ from the Biden White House on behalf of the Department of Justice (DOJ).”

Their investigation asserted that this inconsistency from the Biden White House demonstrates “substantial discrepancies between what the Archives has told Congress and what appears in its internal communications.”

Further, AFL stated on Twitter that the records obtained through their investigation into the matter “reveal the Biden White House & DOJ coordinated to obtain the Trump records and perhaps create a pretext for the law enforcement raid by way of a ‘special access request.’”
