As the other Republican candidates made their way to Alabama for Wednesday night’s debate, Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., took the opportunity to endorse President Trump.

Britt wrote an op-ed in Yellowhammer News to announce her endorsement of President Trump. This endorsement comes on the same day that other Republican candidates like former Gov. Nikki Haley, R-S.C., Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., Gov. Chris Christie, R-N.J., and Vivek Ramaswamy are traveling to Tuscaloosa for the fourth GOP debate, which President Trump will not be attending.

In her endorsement, Britt said, “One candidate has already proven he’s more than up for the job – because he’s done the job successfully.”

The senator also mentioned President Trump’s success with his border policies before Biden’s administration undid most of his policies. This is why there is such a catastrophic border crisis. “There is one candidate I know will secure the border — because he’s done it,” said Britt, adding, “That’s why President Donald Trump has my endorsement to be our 47th President.”

Britt explains why she endorsed President Trump as the 47th president. Under Biden’s rule, the country has never been weaker with issues like inflation, which has grown by a staggering 17.7 percent, and illegal border crossings, which, according to data released by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, have increased.

August alone recorded 232,972 encounters along the southwest border. According to Britt, “illegal border crossings are shattering record after record.”

This is why she wants President Trump back in the White House to sort this crisis out. Britt wrote that “every day that President Biden is in office, the United States is weaker. Our communities are more dangerous. Our families are more at risk, and our future is more imperiled.”

In closing, Britt called upon the citizens of the U.S. to come together to ensure that Biden only gets one term and allow President Trump to fulfill the promise of the American Dream.
