Americans are mobilizing to support President Donald Trump in the wake of a shocking guilty verdict in deep blue New York, where the president was slapped with 34 felony counts related to the alleged falsification of business records.

On the second day of deliberations, the jury rendered the surprising verdict, following weeks of often confusing, grueling, and salacious testimony from ex-lawyer Michael Cohen, porn actress Stormy Daniels, tabloid publisher David Pecker, and others.

Moments after the verdict, President Trump posted a campaign ad on Truth Social that read: “I AM A POLITICAL PRISONER.” The ad linked to his campaign fundraising site, amidst what is sure to be a difficult and continually grueling legal appeal process.

His sentencing has been set for July 11, according to the Associated Press. This date is just days before the president is scheduled to formally accept the Republican nomination for president at the RNC’s convention.

Turning Point USA President Charlie Kirk posited on X, “Trump will appeal and this will, eventually, be overturned, but this is a scar on our nation. For today, at least, this country looks more like Venezuela or China or Russia than the United States of America.”

He added, “Now, we must be ready to maintain our resolve. There will be an unprecedented push to say that Trump CANNOT be allowed to win, that we CANNOT elect a convicted felon. Don’t give in. They did this because they are desperate. They will lose, and they will pay.”

Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, wrote, “This decision is a disgrace to the rule of law and our Constitution. Dems invented a felony to “get Trump,” with the help of a Soros funded prosecutor and a Biden donor Judge, who rigged the entire case to get this outcome. This isn’t justice, it’s election interference.”

Republican businessman, Trump ally, and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy added that the prosecutor was “a politician who promise to nail Trump.” He explained, “The judge’s daughter is a Democrat operative who literally *raised $$ from the trial* while her father presided over it. The jury instructions said they didn’t have to agree on the crime to convict. This will backfire.”

Former Trump attorney Christina Bobb posited on Newsmax this week ahead of the sentencing that sending Trump to prison would only “fuel the American public” and bolster the president’s campaign.

Upon exiting the courtroom on Thursday after the verdict was rendered, Trump strode out and addressed the press with strength. He said, “This was a disgrace, this was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt…they wouldn’t give us a venue change.”

He continued, “The real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people.”
