President Donald Trump has earned the endorsement of another GOP lawmaker from the Sunshine State, adding to his impressive list of supporters as he makes a 2024 bid for the presidency.

In exclusive comments made to TIME Magazine, Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., announced his endorsement of the 45th president on the heels of Trump’s arraignment in Manhattan last week: “I think that what’s happening in New York is a very unifying event. We need to stop the infighting and come together and unify. And I think right now the person that we need to be unifying behind is President Trump.”

Per TIME, President Trump endorsed Rep. Mills in October after winning his primary race in Florida.

Mills joins Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, and Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., in endorsing President Trump.

As reported by RSBN, Donalds said he was “honored” to endorse Trump, adding, “2024 isn’t simply an election. It is an inflection point in our nation’s history, and it is an inflection point in world history.”

Rep. Mills told TIME that while he admired the leadership of Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., he believed that Trump’s “aggressive” approach to foreign policy was needed right now in America.

“I think we need someone who will be aggressive on foreign policy—and that’s Trump,” he told the outlet. “You know, this is politics, you’ve got to pick your sides. I think that he’s the person that we need right now for this country.”

Although Gov. DeSantis has not yet announced an official bid for the presidency, he has been raising his national profile by traveling to other states and meeting with potential conservative voters.

GOP primary political polling has swung heavily in Trump’s favor since November 2022. Post-arraignment, President Trump’s campaign momentum has skyrocketed. Per RSBN, Trump netted a whopping 37-point lead over DeSantis in a new Reuters/IPSOS survey, dominating with 58 percent of the Republican vote over DeSantis’s 21 percent.

As noted by the Trump campaign, Rep. Mills is the fourth member of Congress in Florida to endorse the president.
