President Trump has soared past Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., in a new poll from Reuters/IPSOS, demonstrating a staggering lead over a field of potential and declared 2024 Republican opponents.

Per their poll, Trump has captured a 37-point lead over DeSantis among surveyed Republicans, with 58 percent of them indicating that he is their preferred 2024 GOP primary presidential nominee. DeSantis garnered 21 percent of support in the same poll.

Trump’s lead is significant, demonstrating a leap from 44 percent of support to 58 percent in less than one month. Following news of his indictment at the behest of a Manhattan grand jury, Trump’s approval ratings have skyrocketed among GOP voters.

In fact, going into his arraignment in New York on Tuesday, President Trump’s primary poll numbers quickly swelled, demonstrating hefty leads in state polling and national surveys, like YouGov.

As reported by RSBN, Trump held 55 percent of support in Morning Consult’s most recent 2024 GOP Primary Tracker poll against DeSantis’s 23 percent. The Trump campaign has also enjoyed a massive windfall in donations since news of the president’s Manhattan indictment broke, culminating in a jaw-dropping $12 million raised in just one week, via the campaign.

As the political attacks on President Trump have continued to mount, his support has seemed to grow stronger, with momentum clearly reflected in the majority of GOP primary political polling and general election polling.

President Trump recently addressed the Democrats’ lack of ability to lead on the top issues of today in a Truth Social post, slamming the rapidly devolving state of the U.S. “The only things they do well is CHEATING ON ELECTIONS, DISINFORMATION CAMPAIGNS, and WEAPONIZING THE JUSTICE SYSTEM,” he wrote. “We are a Nation in Decline, a Failing Nation!!!”

According to Rasmussen Reports, President Trump netted a 10-point swing in his direction following his indictment, gaining a 7-point lead over Joe Biden in a head-to-head matchup. Via Rasmussen, Biden snagged 40 percent of support while Trump garnered 47 percent.
