An army of conservatives online has rushed to defend former Fox News host Tucker Carlson since news of his departure from the network surfaced on Monday, shocking the nation.
RSBN revealed this week that Fox News and Carlson had “agreed to part ways,” although an underlying reason for this agreement has not yet been confirmed.
Carlson’s show on Fox was wildly popular, and he was known for his signature monologues. He recently blew the lid off the Jan. 6 Capitol “insurrection” narrative by releasing video surveillance footage from that day on his show.
Blaze CEO and radio host Glenn Beck, who formerly hosted a show on Fox News years ago, shared his support for Carlson on Twitter.
“#Tucker, everything will work for His benefit,” Beck wrote. “You are too smart to legitimately worry. Millions are standing behind you. I am one of them. What you choose to do next could make all the difference in our country’s next chapter. I can’t wait to see what you do.”
Daily Wire host Candace Owens remarked, “I am positively shocked regarding Tucker Carlson. Greatest talent at Fox News.”
Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., added on Twitter, “I cannot overstate the importance that @TuckerCarlson had on public policy choices we made in the government. Millions of Americans, myself included, tuned in every night to hear him share unapologetic conservative values. We will continue to follow him wherever he goes next!”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., also weighed in on Carlson’s exit, noting online, “Cable news is about to be taught a powerful lesson after Fox News caved to the woke mob and fired Tucker Carlson.”
She continued, “Americans no longer blindly watch the news like they did decades ago, they only watch the ones who have courage to tell the truth. Americans are about to quit watching.”
Senior Editor of Human Events, Jack Posobiec, commented, “Fox gave a massive W to the Left by giving in and cancelling Tucker yesterday[.] No way around that[.]”
Post Millennial reporter Savanah Hernandez also joined the chorus of support for Carlson, writing, “He is one of the most humble and genuine people in this industry and if it wasn’t for him and his team, a huge portion of my reporting would have gone unnoticed. I will forever be grateful to him. His passion for truth and exposing lies has been one of the greatest inspirations of my career. Can’t wait to see what he does next.”
President Donald Trump even decried Fox News’ move to split with Carlson. “The fact that Tucker Carlson will no longer be on FoxNews is a big blow to Cable News, and to America,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Tucker was insightful, interesting, and ratings gold. He will be greatly missed!”
According to a report from Trending Politics, Fox News lost nearly $1 billion in stock value after announcing Carlson’s exit.
