It has recently come to light that the Biden administration had reportedly forced the family of a female Marine who was killed in Afghanistan to pay $60,000 to have her body transported to her place of burial.
Nicole Gee was one of the 13 service members killed in the 2021 suicide blast in Kabul. The Post Millennial reported that Rep. Cory Mills, a Republican lawmaker and Army veteran, was the one who had to tell the Gee family that they had to pay $60,000 to have her body transported to her final resting place.
The Biden administration declined to pay for the total amount due to a change in the National Defense Authorization Act. A non-profit organization, Honoring Our Fallen, covered this cost.
This is not the first time that the Biden administration has failed in its duty to the service members of the U.S.
In 2021, during the Kabul attack, while the tragic losses were being reported, Biden had remained silent. Then, during a transfer ceremony held at Dover Air Force Base, many had blasted Biden for a “disrespectful” and “fake” ceremony.
According to RSBN, one family member of one of the fallen service members had said that Biden refused to look at her or her brother’s widow in their eyes, which is a sign of disrespect.
What angered many that day was Biden’s constant talk of his son, who was killed in action back in 2015.
Many family members felt that he was making it all about him and showing a lack of ability to give proper respect to America’s fallen heroes.
This type of disrespect would never happen if President Trump were in power. In fact, President Trump has been very clear in his respect and honor of America’s service people in the past, to the point of inviting U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Hunter Clark to speak at his Save America rally in Perry, Georgia.
