Supporters of President Donald Trump could be heard yelling for him on Wednesday morning as he gathered with other politicians and figures to honor the victims of the 9/11 attack.
Trump could be seen in New York City alongside his running mate and Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance as well as President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and other politicians. As the 45th president stood for photos, the crowd behind photographs could be heard shouting Trump’s name.
“Donald! Donald! Donald!” a supporter could be heard shouting. “We love you Donald!”
“We need you President Trump!” another supporter could be heard shouting.
Trump could be seen mouthing “thank you” to the crowd as the supporters continued to shout at the politicians.
“Trump we love you,” a third supporter could be heard shouting.
The leaders met in Manhattan for a commemoration event at Ground Zero. The meet up of the politicians comes after a heated first debate night between Trump and Harris, in which the 45th president called out Harris’ hand in the economy, high inflation rates and mass immigration.
Following the ceremony, Trump was later seen visiting a local firehouse in lower Manhattan as he greeted families and firefighters at FDNY Engine Tower Ladder 15.
