Trump said, “They’re gonna do a beautiful job for you for the next four years.” He joked about being Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” again, stating, “I think I like it better this time, actually.”
He fondly recalled his first term and noted that the media has “toned down” despite previous turmoil. He thanked Time Magazine and added, “It’s an honor. Every time it’s an honor.”
He then pointed out the historic timing of the honor. “Usually, they don’t coordinate the Man of the Year or the Person of the Year with the ringing of the bell.”

During his Person of the Year interview with Time, Trump described his campaign success, the state of the nation, and his new nominations.Â
He also reflected on his parents and how he believed his father would view his second-term win. “I think he maybe would not call it a comeback. He would have said it’s just Donald.”
