Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, warned Tuesday that Democrats are preparing to downplay next week’s projected Republican wins as “illegitimate.”

On his podcast, “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” Cruz pointed out the hypocrisy of the Democrat Party, particularly regarding the issue of election integrity. The Texas senator claimed that Democrats have a proven track record of questioning the legitimacy of U.S. elections anytime a Republican candidate is elected but made an exception in 2020 when they declared it was the “most secure” election in history.

Cruz’s remarks come after Hillary Clinton began to question the future legitimacy of the 2024 presidential election. “Right-wing extremists already have a plan to literally steal the next presidential election,” she said.

After losing the 2016 election to President Trump, Hillary Clinton declared him an illegitimate president in the years that followed.

“Democrats have challenged every Republican presidential election since the year 2000,” Cruz said. “Hillary’s setting the stage. When Democrats lose in 2022, they’re going to say it was illegitimate. When Democrats lose in 2024, they’re going to say it’s illegitimate. And all throughout, they’re going to say it’s the Republicans who are the election deniers.”

Cruz made headlines recently when he appeared on “The View” and flipped the script on the show’s hosts as they attempted to label Republican candidates “election deniers.” Cruz reminded the hosts and the audience that Clinton appeared on the show in 2019 and denied the legitimacy of the 2016 presidential election, calling Trump an “illegitimate president.”

Joe Biden recently stated, “Denying the results of an election is absolutely a threat to democracy.” Yet, members of his own party appear poised to do so.

Discussing the hypocrisy of the Democrat Party and the mainstream media on his podcast, Cruz said, “They don’t back away from it at all. They’re happy to embrace their double standard.”

“It is a deliberate strategy of partisan Democrats to say things that are just flat-out false,” Cruz continued, “Why? Because the fawning propaganda media will amplify it.”

However, Cruz concluded that “no amount of spinning” could change the fact that Hillary Clinton and other Democrats have repeatedly denied the legitimacy of U.S. elections while trying to convince the public that Republicans are “election deniers.”
