Donald Trump Jr. called “TRUTH Social”, his father’s new social media app, as a “Big Tent,” for people to enjoy free speech.
Donald Trump Jr. told Sean Hannity on Wednesday night that TRUTH Social is, “an open and Free Network for people to be able to communicate, to exercise your First Amendment rights.”
Calling President Donald Trump’s latest move to start Trump Media and Technology a “big deal,” he added, “Big Tech has suppressed conservative voices, whether you are pro-second amendment, if you’re pro-life, if you’re religious, – if you’re just a conservative – you have been in Facebook jail, you have been deplatformed, you have been demonitized,” Don said.
TRUTH Social is “a platform for everyone, to express their feelings,” Trump Jr. continued.
According to a press release, TRUTH social will operate under President Trump’s company, Trump Media & Technology Group (“TMTG”). President Trump is the chairman of the TMTG and he hopes to add a platform for news, shows, podcasts, and more through TMTG to combat the leftist woke entertainment industry.
President Trump said that this platform will “stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech.” Pointing out the hypocrisy of the Big Tech bans that have targeted him, he said, “we live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced.”
The platform is slated to be released in the first quarter of 2022, but some users will be allowed on the app for beta testing on an invite-only basis starting in November. The app is available for pre-order on Apple and you can sign up for updates at www.truthsocial.com.
