Eric Trump, the son of President Donald Trump, defended his father and their family business outside a New York City courtroom this week, amid his turn testifying in an ongoing civil fraud suit brought by the state’s attorney general.
He told the press, “We have some of the best assets in New York. We’ve never had a default. We’ve never missed a loan payment, we have thousands of employees…”
He scorched New York Attorney General James, continuing, “The witch hunt that this person is under to get my father for political purposes is disgusting.”
Eric Trump told the press that the Trump Organization was an “incredible company” and that they had done “absolutely nothing wrong.”
He added, “This state is absolutely going to hell. And it’s because of people like the Attorney General of New York. We have to start focusing on crime.”
This week, Eric Trump, along with Donald Trump Jr., headed to court to testify in the trial, prompting their father to defend his family and his business on Truth Social.
“So sad to see my sons being PERSECUTED in a political Witch Hunt by this out of control, publicity seeking, New York State Judge, on a case that should have NEVER been brought,” he wrote.
According to The New York Times, Donald Trump Jr. spent almost two hours on the stand on Thursday, although both sons testified in detail, defending their business statements and the company at large.
As reported by RSBN, the president’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, is expected to testify in court next week, following last week’s order from Judge Arthur Engoron that she would have to appear.
In his remarks to the press, Eric Trump continued, “We’re going to win this thing. I promise you we’re going to win it because we haven’t done a damn thing wrong.”
