President Donald Trump eviscerated the idea of settling in court in the New York civil fraud suit that has been brought against him by New York State Attorney General Letitia James, calling the trial “RIGGED.”
He laid it out on Truth Social, explaining, “This is a great Miscarriage of Justice, and while they want to settle, why should I be forced to settle when I did nothing wrong?”
Trump lambasted AG James for being “Racist” and “Corrupt,” and accused her of working closely with the Biden administration, as well as the “Fascists, Marxists, and Communists” whom he contends are engaging in massive “Election Interference.”
This week, the president’s sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., testified in court in the ongoing case, which rests upon the accusation from AG James that their family business financial statements were over-inflated.
President Trump derided the situation, writing, “So sad to see my sons being PERSECUTED in a political Witch Hunt by this out of control, publicity seeking, New York State Judge, on a case that should have NEVER been brought.”
He argued that his financial worth was far “GREATER than on Financial Statements” and noted that such statements all included a “full DISCLAIMER CLAUSE telling readers to do their own due diligence and analysis.”
He also pointed out the fact that ex-attorney Michael Cohen’s previous testimony in court, he denied that Trump had ever asked him to inflate the value of financial statements. As reported by RSBN, Cohen confirmed that he was never explicitly directed do to any such thing by President Trump.
On Truth Social, the 45th president railed against AG James of letting the violent crimes of New York go completely unmitigated while she “sits on her ass in Court all day watching the Trump family be abused by a Trump Hating Judge that said a Billion Dollar house is only worth $18,000,000 Million Dollars!!!”
