Eric Trump strongly defended his father, President Donald Trump, after New York Judge Arthur Engoron handed down a shocking decision in a civil fraud suit last week.
During an interview on Fox News, Eric explained, “My father never gives up. He’s the toughest guy I’ve ever met in my entire life and he’s hellbent on winning, and we’re going to WIN in November.”
He added, “If he wasn’t the frontrunner for President of the United States right now, they wouldn’t be doing this. This has never been tried in New York before. There’s no better real estate company in the country than us. They would NOT be doing this if Donald Trump wasn’t the frontrunner for president – beating Joe Biden in every single poll, [and] absolutely blowing Nikki Haley out of the water.”
On Friday, Judge Engoron ordered Trump to pay over $350 million in an infamous civil fraud suit brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James. He also ordered Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. to cough up several million.
In addition, a temporary, three-year ban was placed on President Trump, Eric Trump, and Donald Trump Jr., which bars them from holding an authoritative position in any New York real estate business.
Eric Trump continued on Fox, “They’re attacking him civilly, they’re attacking him criminally, they’re doing everything they possibly can – no different than impeachment one, impeachment two, the Russia Hoax, the spying on his campaign, the going after Kavanaugh, the going after all of his advisors…they’re doing it because Donald Trump is winning.”
On Friday, the president spoke out against the ruling at Mar-a-Lago, describing Judge Engoron as “crooked,” “dishonest,” and “corrupt.” He also vowed to appeal the ruling.
“These are corrupt people…they’re using this as weaponization against a political opponent who’s up A LOT in the polls…,” he explained.
