The House Oversight Committee investigation into the Biden family’s dodgy dealings continues next week with Hunter Biden’s public hearing.

Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., released a press statement explaining that the public hearing will be held after months of Hunter Biden requesting one. He points out the irony of Hunter Biden now refusing to attend the public hearing.

Comer wrote on X, “@GOPoversight has called Hunter Biden’s bluff. For months, he wanted a public hearing, but now that one has been offered alongside his business associates, he is refusing to come.” Comer added, “Next week’s hearing is moving forward and we fully expect Hunter to participate.”

For months, Biden has ignored previous hearings, a subpoena, and even ran out of a House Committee hearing before Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., could question him. RSBN reported that Biden agreed to a closed-door deposition with the House Committee and was offered a public hearing after that. Now that he’s been offered the public hearing, he refuses to participate.

Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., shared a video clip on X highlighting Biden’s false bravado and wrote, “HUNTER IN DEC: ‘I’ve chosen. I’m here to testify at a public hearing…What are they afraid of? I’m here. I’m ready.” He added, “HUNTER NOW: Refuses our public hearing.”

In a statement shared to X, Comer said, “ The House Oversight Committee has called Hunter Biden’s bluff. Hunter Biden for months stated he wanted a public hearing, but now that one has been offered alongside his business associates that he worked with for years, he is refusing to come.”

According to Comer, the closed-door deposition confirmed key evidence that Joe Biden had abused his position of power to benefit the Biden family business and that he lied to the people of America.

In his press statement, Comer expressed that he has hopes that this next hearing will be just as fruitful.

In closing, Comer wrote, “Next week’s hearing with Hunter Biden and his associates is moving forward and we fully expect Hunter Biden to participate. The American people demand the truth and accountability for the Bidens’ corruption.”
