After a shooting at a Dallas-area Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility this week, FBI Director Kash Patel has revealed disturbing information about the alleged shooter who opened fire on the location – an action that resulted in one death and two injuries.
“@FBIDallas and FBI HQ have been working 24/7 to seize devices, exploit data, and process writings obtained on location and in the subject’s person/residence/bedroom,” Patel said in a statement posted on X.
The suspect, 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, took his own life after the shooting, RSBN previously reported. It was also revealed shortly after the attack that Jahn had engraved the term “Anti-ICE” onto his shell casings.
According to Director Patel, the FBI identified writings and information from the alleged shooter’s residence and uncovered the following:
– “The perp downloaded a document titled ‘Dallas County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management’ containing a list of DHS facilities.
– He conducted multiple searches of ballistics and the ‘Charlie Kirk Shot Video’ between 9/23-9/24.
-Between 8/19-8/24, he searched apps that tracked the presence of ICE agents. – One of the handwritten notes recovered read, ‘Hopefully this will give ICE agents real terror, to think, ‘is there a sniper with AP rounds on that roof?’
– Further accumulated evidence to this point indicates a high degree of pre-attack planning.”
The shooting at the ICE facility has highlighted a growing sense of hostility and violence toward law enforcement.
In an official statement from the Department of Homeland Security’s X account, the agency stated, “The men and women of ICE are fathers and mothers, sons and daughters. They get up every morning to try and make our communities safer. The violence and dehumanization of these men and women who are simply enforcing the law must stop.”
President Donald Trump has also called on leftist rhetoric against ICE to stop, amid rising violence toward men and women in uniform.
“The Brave Men and Women of ICE are just trying to do their jobs, and remove the ‘WORST of the WORST’ Criminals out of our Country, but they are facing an unprecedented increase in threats, violence, and attacks by Deranged Radical Leftists,” the president said.
