First Lady Melania Trump is set to host Fostering the Future Together, a two-day gathering of world leaders and technology entities at the White House.
The meeting is scheduled to begin on March 24, 2026, and to continue through March 25, 2026. The coalition includes First Spouses from different countries who seek to empower children through technology. The White House has described the mission of the summit as helping children “learn, grow, and thrive through the safe and innovative use of advanced technology.”
Mrs. Trump will host roundtable discussions with world leaders to share their approaches to empowering children while protecting them in the digital age, and will seek to develop strategies for international cooperation. It will include hands-on education from private-sector technology entities, covering topics such as educational tools, the use of artificial intelligence, online safety, and digital literacy.
The historic gathering marks the first time a First Lady of the United States has hosted representatives from 45 countries at the White House in a single day. Mrs. Trump launched the Fostering the Future Together initiative during the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on September 23, 2025. According to the White House, this unprecedented gathering “further supports First Lady Melania Trump’s pursuit of action-oriented diplomacy on the global stage.”
The Fostering the Future initiative will include member nations from across the globe, such as France, Poland, Panama, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Lithuania, Nigeria, Paraguay, Saudi Arabia, Aruba, Morocco, Kenya, and Israel. The effort has also drawn participation from powerful technology companies, including OpenAI, Microsoft, xAI, Meta, Palantir, Adobe, Google, and Zoom Communications.
