Just a few days after “America’s Mayor,” former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, was injured in a car accident, an update on his condition has been released.
According to a statement posted on X through Mr. Giuliani’s official account, the former NYC mayor and longtime Trump ally has been discharged from the hospital.
As reported by RSBN, Giuliani was involved in a car accident over the weekend in New Hampshire. His vehicle was allegedly struck from behind, incurring injuries such as a fractured thoracic vertebra and other multiple cuts and bruises.
“Mayor Giuliani is recovering well following a motor vehicle accident in which his car was struck from behind,” the statement explained on X.
It continued, “The incident occurred shortly after the mayor and his business associate, Ted Goodman—also the producer of his livestream program—stopped to assist a person in urgent need of help.”
According to the original statement made by Giuliani’s head of security, Michael Ragusa, the former mayor’s vehicle was “flagged down by a woman who was the victim of a domestic violence incident.”
Giuliani rendered assistance, Ragusa said, and then called 911. After this incident, Giuliani’s vehicle was struck from behind.
On Tuesday, the statement on Giuliani’s X account noted that he had been discharged from the hospital and “deeply appreciates the love, well wishes, and prayers he has received.”
“The mayor also extends his gratitude to the New Hampshire State Police, paramedics, Elliot Hospital, and all of the physicians and nurses who provided him with outstanding care,” it continued.
Giuliani became an internationally-renowned figure following the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001, earning him the enduring title, “America’s Mayor.”
As reported by RSBN, President Trump announced on Monday that he would soon be presenting Giuliani with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian honor.
