A Fulton County Superior Court judge has indicated that a hearing aimed at looking at the potential disqualification of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis will proceed on Thursday, February 15.

By now, many Americans have become familiar with DA Willis for her famous spearheading of the Georgia election-related RICO case against President Donald Trump, which resulted in his arraignment and mugshot last summer.

According to CBS News, Fulton County Superior Judge Scott McAfee greenlit an evidentiary hearing on the issue after Trump co-defendant Michael Roman alleged that DA Willis had an inappropriate relationship with an attorney whom she hired to prosecute Trump.

The outlet further reported  that Judge McAfee stated that the “facts alleged” could indeed “result in disqualification” for Willis in the case and stated that the hearing was necessary to “establish the record on those core allegations.”

Via USA Today, there will be at least two days of hearings set to be televised in Fulton County. Originally, it was rumored that President Donald Trump would even show up to the hearing on Willis’s potential disqualification, but NBC News revealed that the president would instead reportedly be appearing in court in New York on Thursday to attend proceedings in the ongoing “hush money” case overseen by Judge Juan Merchan.

As reported by RSBN, DA Willis is facing a congressional subpoena at the behest of Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio. The subpoena is related to the committee’s questions about how Willis purportedly handled federal grant funds in Fulton County.

Willis is also looking at 22 articles of impeachment in the Georgia state legislature that are directly linked to the troubling allegations that have arisen about her possible misconduct in her relationship with the prosecutor in the Trump case.
