Former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich made a big prediction about President Donald Trump’s presidential aspirations in 2024 while chatting with Megyn Kelly this week.
If President Donald Trump is the Republican presidential nominee next year, Gingrich predicted, “He will turn out a tidal wave of voters who are deeply alienated from what they see as corruption in Washington and its economic disasters.”
He added, “And I suspect that we’ll win the Senate and increase the number of seats pretty dramatically in the House.”
Since President Trump was indicted for a fourth time on Monday, Republicans have unilaterally rallied around the 45th president, decrying the two-tiered system of justice in America today.
In fact, the more President Trump is attacked both legally and politically, the higher his poll numbers seem to be. As reported by RSBN, Trump is increasingly gaining strength in nationwide GOP primary polls, while other candidates like Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., are consistently losing steam.
For example, a recent TIPP poll found that nationwide, Trump held a whopping 45-point lead for the Republican nomination. In their poll, DeSantis dropped seven points from June, while Vivek Ramaswamy gained six.
A previous analysis from RSBN revealed that the GOP has the potential to pick up several Senate seats in the 2024 election next year, since far more Democrat seats will be up for grabs than Republican seats.
Right now, Republicans hold a narrow majority in the House, but if Gingrich is right, the GOP could be poised to increase their majority in the House, retake the Senate, and win back the presidency again in 2024 with President Donald Trump leading the way.
