Conservatives have stepped up to help the victims of Hurricane Helene as residents are still suffering the catastrophic effects of the Sept. 26 landfall.
The Christian organization Samaritan’s Purse deployed volunteers to North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. They stated in a post to X, “Hurricane Helene was a catastrophic storm that has forever changed the lives of so many families across the U.S.”
“We are responding in various ways and working to meet the most urgent needs on the ground through our U.S. Disaster Relief teams, thousands of volunteers, an Emergency Field Hospital, newly established water points, emergency airlift operations, and more,” they added, thanking God and recognizing the power of faith in uncertain times.
TV personality and author Dr. Phil is among many American leaders in North Carolina aiding those in need. He personally helped an elderly woman who recently had heart surgery. She asked for a generator and a camping stove to remain in her home.
“She went from just being so forlorn to being so uplifted and laughing and… and I’m just so glad we stopped,” he stated. “So glad she flagged us down.”
Conservative podcasters the Hodgetwins flew to North Carolina and have been sharing images of the wreckage as they deliver aid.
On Tuesday, they posted a picture to X and wrote, “People can’t leave their homes because the bridges are gone…washed away down the river.”
They have created a GiveSendGo fundraiser to aid the victims that had raised over $17,000 by Wednesday morning.
Comedian Terrence K. Williams was captured on video making pancakes for hurricane victims. He stated, “We are out here in Ashville, we’re gonna be out here for a while helping out our brothers and sisters, ya’ll. They need all the help in the world.”
