Many Republican governors are vowing to defend freedom for their constituents by pushing back against Joe Biden’s decision to implement unconstitutional federal vaccine mandates.
Biden, during a national address on Thursday, ordered all federal workers, federal contractors, subcontractors, and employees of businesses with at least 100 people on staff, to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
“This is not about freedom or personal choices,” Biden said with disdain for our constitutional rights.
19 GOP governors spoke out immediately following Joe Biden’s speech, threatening pushback and legal action against the Biden administration’s vaccine mandates initiative, Epoch Times reported.
The governors of Arizona, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming issued statements disagreeing with the administration’s move. Many of them have pledged to defy it.
Biden condemned Governors Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., and Greg Abbott, R-Texas, along with other Republican governors who refused to carry out his federal vaccination mandates.
“If they’ll not help, if these governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as president to get them out of the way,” Biden threatened.
Biden’s new orders that will take effect in the coming weeks will affect nearly 100 million Americans. Failure to comply may result in a $14,000 fine per violation.
