New York Gubernatorial candidate Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., blasted the results of the Democratic primary as the outcome became apparent Tuesday night.
She slammed current Governor Kathy Hochul’s “failed leadership” for encouraging state liberals to elect Socialist Democrat Zohran Kwame Mamdani as the Democratic candidate for New York City Mayor.
Stefanik didn’t mince words, declaring Mamdani “a radical, Defund-the-Police, Communist, raging Antisemite.”
“Make no mistake, it is BECAUSE OF Kathy Hochul and the NY Democrat Party’s inept weakness and sheer incompetence that this has happened,” she went on. “Kathy Hochul and NY Democrats have fully embraced Marxism, antisemitism, anti-capitalism, and sheer insanity.”
She then declared Hochul as the “Worst Governor in America,” and committed to firing her in the 2026 election to “Save New York.”
Mamdani has attended multiple anti-Israel protests and the Tesla protests, which shut down and even vandalized private Tesla dealerships to oppose Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s leadership within the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
During his attendance at an anti-Trump protest in May, he decried current Mayor Eric Adams for working with the Trump administration through collaborations to find a compromise.
In addition, Mamdani publicly advocated for legalizing prostitution, banning ICE from courtrooms, and ending cash bail. He ran on a platform that included instituting government-controlled childcare, taxpayer-funded “free” bus lines, government-controlled grocery stores, and further government overreach of private property, particularly in the realm of rentals, as outlined on his campaign website.
He was endorsed by far-left politicians Bernie Sanders, D-Vt., and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), D-N.Y., as well as New York Attorney General Letitia James, who led a questionable investigation against President Donald Trump during his re-election campaign. James is now facing her own allegations of fraud, which Stefanik applauded on her website last month.
She stated, “The investigation into Letitia James is a vital step toward justice. I will continue to fight to expose NY corruption, protect constitutional rights, and hold these failed Democrat leaders in NY accountable.”
