Trump talks labeling Tesla attacks as domestic terrorism

After multiple attacks on Tesla dealerships, vehicles and potentially their owners, President Donald Trump spoke about labeling those who commit violence against Tesla owners and sellers as domestic terrorists.

The question was raised at the White House as President Trump bought a new Tesla car. He responded, “I will do that, I’ll do it. I’m gonna stop them.”

“They’re harming a great American company,” he added, explaining that attacking American companies harms workers and will not be tolerated.

“You do it to Tesla, and you do it to any company, we’re gonna catch you and you’re gonna go through hell,” he declared.

According to the National Review attacks on Tesla locations have erupted from Seattle to Boston. Dealerships and charging stations have been compromised through property damages and even arson.

The National Review also noted that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has received increasing pushback from political opponents of President Trump since he endorsed him and became the head of the new U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Elon Musk posted to X claiming, “An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla ‘protests’: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America.”

He listed George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman and Leah Hunt-Hendrix as ACT Blue financiers, noting that the organization is being investigated for “allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations.”

As dealerships and charging stations have been attacked, even viral Cybertruck Farmer, Braden Smith, who gained national attention for configuring a Cybertruck for farming, per USA Today, was also allegedly targeted.

He posted a picture of a fist-sized rock to X, stating that it was, “The rock that was hurled at my 3-year-old daughter because you don’t like Tesla.”

The family is awaiting security camera footage for further investigation. He clarified that the incident happened in his wife’s Model-T as they were driving, but he still believes it was a motivated attack.
