How to watch the National Memorial Observance at Arlington

Americans everywhere will have the opportunity on Monday to join together in body and spirit to honor the sacrifice of those who gave everything to protect freedom and liberty.

During a solemn event on the grounds of the Arlington National Cemetery, the country will watch as a special National Memorial Day Observance ceremony unfolds.

According to Arlington National Cemetery’s website, this marks the 158th Memorial Day Observance for the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. The event is free and open to the public. The ceremony is held in the Memorial Amphitheater, and guests can expect to find seats on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event includes a wreath-laying ceremony at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier (for official participants), and will additionally feature a parade of colors by several veterans’ organizations, per the ANC.

The tentative programming schedule of the day includes coverage of the anticipated American Veterans Center parade on Constitution Avenue and the main observance event, expected to begin at 12 PM EDT, in the Memorial Amphitheater, featuring President Donald Trump, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Gold Star families, and other notable officials.

Also on Monday, America 250 will host a second event at the Memorial Amphitheater, the “National Memorial Day Observance: An Evening of Stories and Service.” The special candlelight event will feature music from country music artist Gretchen Wilson.
