Ivanka Trump purchased one million meals last week to send to Ukraine and Poland to help the citizens of Ukraine and refugees from the Russian invasion.

According to Fox News, Ivanka Trump utilized multiple nonprofit organizations, such as CityServe, City of Destiny, and Mercy Chefs, to coordinate meal packaging. Additionally, Trump teamed up with the UPS Foundation, the Pentecostal European Fellowship, and local churches to transport the food to Warsaw, Poland.

Once in Poland, community and religious organizations delivered the meals to Ukrainian refugees.

Trump told Fox News, “The Ukrainian people have shown inspiring courage and resilience during the invasion of their country by Russia,” adding, “As is often the case, pain and hardship are disproportionately borne by the most vulnerable.”

“With this food,” she said, “I hope to provide a small source of comfort and nourishment for Ukrainians who are suffering so greatly.”

As the invasion of Ukraine continues, Europe is facing a major refugee crisis. According to The Hill, over 3.5 million Ukrainians have already left their country, with countless more fleeing each day. With such a large number of refugees seeking aid, the generosity of people like Ivanka Trump is needed more than ever before.

Paula White-Cain, the senior pastor of the City of Destiny Church in Orlando, Florida, told Fox News, “People here in the U.S. are hungry to do something to help. People there are hungry for help.” Americans have responded to the invasion of Ukraine by aiding the Ukrainian people and supporting them in a variety of ways, including sending food, clothing, money, and other resources to those in desperate need.

White-Cain, who helped coordinate the effort, said, “When I told Ivanka what we were doing, she went into action as only Ivanka can.” She added, “Quite honestly, if it weren’t for her immediate involvement, a plane would not already be on its way to Poland right now to deliver 1 million meals for Ukrainian refugees fleeing the devastation of their nation.”

Ivanka Trump’s quick actions to provide aid to the Ukrainian people are reminiscent of her father’s quick actions to solve problems in the United States while in the White House. While the Biden administration seems to move slowly on everything related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Ivanka took immediate action to address a humanitarian need.

After coordinating the delivery of one million meals to Ukraine, Trump tweeted, “Thank you to the Pastors, Rabbis, truck drivers & volunteers who are risking their lives to deliver 1M meals.”

Trump added that she is “grateful for all they’re doing as we provide a small source of comfort & nourishment to Ukrainians who are suffering so unjustly from Russia’s invasion of their country.”
