John Durham, the special counsel investigating claims of “Russian collusion” in the 2016 presidential election, has requested a jaw-dropping 30 subpoenas in a trial against Igor Danchenko, according to a report from the Washington Examiner.

Durham reportedly filed a request with a federal court to obtain testimonies against Danchenko, who is set to go on trial in October for his role as an alleged source of information in British spy Christopher Steele’s dubious dossier against President Trump.

Durham’s continued investigation into Steele’s dossier against President Trump has brought some shocking revelations to light. In November 2021, Igor Danchenko was indicted and charged with five counts of making “false statements” to the FBI for Steele’s dossier, according to a previous RSBN report.

Danchenko has pleaded not guilty.

The Washington Examiner’s report noted that Durham’s filing asked for 30 subpoenas for witnesses who are “commanded” to come forward in the U.S. District Court in Virginia in “an appearance before said Court at Alexandria, Virginia” to testify in October. The names of the witnesses are not publicly known at this time.

Previously, Durham’s long-awaited report vindicated President Trump in February. Durham’s staggering federal filing revealed evidence that heavily suggested Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign spied on Trump before and after he took office as president.

President Trump commented on the report at the time of its release, stating, “What Hillary Clinton and the Radical Left Democrats did with respect to spying on a President of the United States, even while in office, is a far bigger crime than Watergate.”

Interestingly, the Washington Examiner’s report stated that Christopher Steele was working for Oleg Deripaska, a Russian-linked oligarch during the time he was specifically working to discredit President Trump.
