White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivered her very first press briefing on Tuesday in Washington, where she updated Americans on the state of the new presidency and offered a special invitation to independent media outlets.

Leavitt entered the packed press room of reporters with a smile at around 1:00 p.m. ET.

“The Golden Age of America has most definitely begun,” she said.

Leavitt began her comments by highlighting President Trump’s win over the past week, noting that he was “hard at work fulfilling the promises that he made to the American people on the campaign trail.”

Since taking office last Monday, Leavitt said Trump had taken over 300 executive actions and secured over $1 trillion in U.S. investments, she stated. She also elevated the president’s swift action to immediately deport illegal alien rapists, gang members, and other various illegal criminals who took refuge in America under the Biden regime.

“President Trump has sent a loud and clear message to the entire world: America will no longer tolerate illegal immigration, and this president expects that every nation on this planet will cooperate with the repatriation of their citizens,” she said.

After a quick recap of the president’s historic actions, she then extended a special invitation to the new and rising bevy of independent media outlets who have begun to overshadow mainstream media outlets.

“President Trump has a great story to tell about the legendary American revival that is underway,” she said.

Leavitt promised that the Trump White House would “speak to ALL media outlets and personalities” and noted that millions of Americans – particularly the youth – are now getting their news from alternative sources like podcasts, social media, and independent outlets.

To accommodate these new outlets, Leavitt said her team would work diligently to restore the press passes for 440 journalists whose credentials were “wrongly revoked by the previous administration.”

She also said the White House would open up the press room to “new media voices” like journalists, podcasters, social media influencers, and content creators. Anyone can apply by visiting the White House website, she said.

Additionally, Leavitt stated that a seat in the front of the room would be called the “New Media Seat,” and it will routinely host new applicants who meet their criteria to enter the White House and cover the administration.

She said she encouraged “everybody” who is a “legitimate independent journalist,” to apply to cover Trump’s administration.

“If you are creating legitimate news content, no matter the medium, you will be allowed to apply for press credentials for this White House,” she emphasized.
