America First Legal (AFL) is suing the office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for records related to the prosecution of President Donald Trump.
AFL files the lawsuit Monday to seek documents and other communications between Bragg’s office and the Biden-Harris campaign and its related groups.
“It is incumbent for Alvin Bragg’s office to meet its transparency responsibilities. The public record now reveals a direct contradiction between statements from the U.S. Department of Justice and Bragg’s own office about coordination between the two,” AFL Vice President Dan Epstein told Fox News Digital.
“And now it would appear that groups like Color of Change may be coordinating activities between Washington, D.C., and New York City behind the scenes,” he added.
AFL claims the group Color for Change visited the White House 16 times, spending time with both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Color for Change President Rashad Robinson visited the White House 16 times and had 4 meetings with Biden and 4 meetings with Kamala,” the group wrote in a post on X.
AFL is also seeking records related to fundraising off of prosecuting Trump.
The lawsuit involves the case against Trump that found him guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records after a six-week trial. Trump pleaded not guilty.
As RSBN previously reported, Judge Juan Merchan agreed earlier this month to delay Trump’s sentencing until Nov. 26 in his New York case, pushing the date until after the presidential election.
The decision changed the previous sentencing date in the hush-money case set for Sept. 18.
“There should be no sentencing in the Manhattan DA’s Election Interference Witch Hunt. As mandated by the United States Supreme Court, this case, along with all of the other Harris-Biden Hoaxes, should be dismissed,” Steven Cheung, Trump campaign spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
AFL also recently sued the same office in June to “obtain access to all records of D.A. Bragg and his staff discussing Judge Merchan or President Trump, and all records of communications between D.A. Bragg and his staff with the Biden White House, DOJ, and allied leftwing dark money groups.”
