Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., made an exciting announcement during her remarks delivered at CPAC 2023 in Washington, D.C. on Friday, heralding the recent Republican majority in the House of Representatives as a mechanism with which to deliver her newest proposed legislation.

Greene announced that she would be introducing her bill, the “Protect Children’s Innocence Act,” in the Republican-controlled House next week, taking aim at those seeking to “devour” innocent “victims” via the multi-billion dollar medical industry that is catering to underage minors seeking “gender affirming care.”

As previously reported by RSBN, Greene’s “Protect Children’s Innocence Act” proposes to make it a felony for any doctor who affirms or perpetuates gender affirming treatment for children. Gender affirming “care” often includes prescribing hormones, puberty blockers, or performing body-altering sex change surgeries.

“I don’t know about you but when it comes to kids, I think the Republican Party has a duty, we have a responsibility – and that has to be the party that protects children,” Greene said.

She shared with the CPAC audience that when she initially ran for Congress, she envisioned herself simply fighting “for conservative values and to give our kids a future.” However, she became swept up in the “shock” of the gender-bending agenda in Washington and in the medical industry.

“Who knew this would become an even bigger battle?” she said.

She pointed out that the medical industry had a “target, or should I say, victim? …Their target is not adults…we’re talking about people under the age of 18. Their target for their multi-billion industry are children.”

She continued, “The victims of this industry are kids and these are kids who are confused about who they are and they’re confused about who they are because of what they’re seeing on the internet and what they’re seeing on social media…”

Greene pointed out that fighting against radical transgender treatment for minors wasn’t “a right-wing extremist idea.”

She promised that she was unafraid to face down the “lion” that was coming to “devour” America’s children, firmly reminding those attending that, “Our God is our Creator…and our God is the God that created our children…The Republican Party will be the party that protects children from such an evil that I cannot believe it exists.”
