Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is ready to roll in the House of Representatives and bring back congressional accountability to the American taxpayers. “We don’t even have committees filled yet but @RepMcCaul and I are already preparing to move forward with the audit of Ukraine,” Greene wrote on Twitter. “No more blank checks to Ukraine. The @HouseGOP is committed to transparency for American taxpayers.”

Since the onset of the war between Ukraine and Russia, the U.S. has forked over nearly $100 billion in aid packages to the embattled Ukrainian government, according to a report from Al Jazeera.

“Vengeance is mine declares the Lord,” Greene wrote on Twitter on Monday. “God will not let evil go unpunished. The @HouseGOP must do what is right for the American people and no longer serve the Uniparty and the Globalist agenda. America First!”

From 2022

In November 2022, Greene introduced a resolution to audit Ukrainian funding. Per The Hill, the resolution called for preserving administration documents and any communications related to financial funding for Ukraine.

Greene introduced the resolution before Republicans took control of the House. At the beginning of January, the House GOP elected Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., to lead the House on the 15th ballot.

With the GOP now firmly in control of the House, it looks like Greene may get her wish to move forward with auditing the massive amounts of money being funneled into Eastern Europe.

In 2022, Greene addressed her intent to introduce the move in the next Congress: “I’ll introduce this resolution again, but I’ll also be calling for a full audit. We voted ‘no’ to send money over there, but we’re also going to audit what’s happening in Ukraine.”

Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, has supported Greene’s effort on the resolution. Recently, McCaul became the first Texan to chair the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. In August 2022, he published an extensive interim report on the Biden administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
