After weeks of critical House investigations into the alleged criminal business dealings of Joe Biden and his family, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., has officially directed the House Committees on the Judiciary, on Oversight and Accountability, and Ways and Means, to open a formal impeachment inquiry into the “Big Guy.”
As the House has continued to bring forth new information and testimony related to the Bidens’ alleged foreign business deals in places like China and Ukraine, Americans across the country have wondered if an impeachment inquiry would be launched against the man in the Oval Office.
At last, concerned voters have their answer.
“These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction, and corruption and they warrant further investigation by the House of Representatives,” Speaker McCarthy explained in an official statement to the press on Tuesday morning.
He continued, “I am directing our House Committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry.”
McCarthy noted, “I believe the president should want to answer these [questions],” and announced that Reps. James Comer, R-Ky., Jim Jordan, R-Ohio., and Jason Smith, R-Mo., would be spearheading the investigation for the respective Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means Committees.
“I do not make this decision lightly. Regardless of your party or who you voted for, these facts should concern all Americans,” Speaker McCarthy added. “…The American people deserve to know that the public offices are not for sale.”
The speaker also encouraged the president and his team to “fully cooperate with this investigation in the interests of transparency.”
He concluded, “We are committed to getting the answers for the American people, nothing more, nothing less.”
