The Federalists’ Mollie Hemingway is out with a new book entitled Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections that makes the case for a new election in Georgia.
In excerpts obtained by Breitbart, Hemingway claims that there were enough voting irregularities in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election to warrant a discussion about holding a do-over election in the Peach State.
The Federalist’s senior editor wrote:
“In the months since the 2020 election, data has been put forth showing strong reason to question the legality of more votes than the margin Biden won [Georgia] by.
Had a court been willing to hear the argument and had Trump’s attorneys been able to show the data in the weeks following the election, a good argument could have been made for holding a new election.”
Hemingway’s reporting is in line with a litany of other accusations of voter fraud in the Peach State, including ballot dumps, pristine ballots marked for Joe Biden, and the infamous suitcase of ballots counted in Fulton Country.
As you may recall, a surveillance video showed suspicious activity involving ballots stuffed in what appeared to be trunks, or suitcases, hidden under tables at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Of this footage, Hemingway wrote: “Video of the vote-counting that night at State Farm Arena, discovered a month later, “showed that after they [poll workers] left, a small remnant of about four workers began pulling trunks containing thousands of ballots from underneath a table with a long tablecloth and running ballots through machines.”
Hemmingway detailed the media’s reaction to the suitcase incident: “Democrats knew that the video looked absolutely awful, particularly since Biden had received a huge spike in numbers from Fulton County at the same time as the footage was timestamped. In came liberal media to tell people not to believe their lying eyes—there was no problematic behavior in the suspicious footage.”
There were also questions related to the chain of custody of ballots, a problem exacerbated by the states’ use of drop boxes placed throughout the state with little supervision, raising questions about the ballots retrieved from those drop boxes.
About these concerns, Hemmingway reported that two Fulton County commissioners expressed concern about the lack of a chain of custody, writing that “there was no chain-of-custody information provided for the thirty-eight ballot drop boxes spread throughout the county. The commissioners asked for but were never provided, a document showing who had picked up the ballots or dropped them off, and when, much less whether, all ballots placed into the boxes were accounted for during their transport.”
Joe Biden was certified as the winner of Georgia’s 16 electoral voters by narrowly edging out President Trump by 11,779 votes.
