President Donald Trump celebrated the latest Gallup poll results revealing that the majority of American adult voters are Republicans or lean Republican.
He posted to Truth Social, noting that this is, “The first time since they started keeping track that there are more Republicans than Democrats—and it’s solely because of President Donald J. Trump.”
According to the Gallup poll report, 48 percent of respondents identify as Republicans, as opposed to Democrats. This is the first time the party has taken the lead since 2004.
In addition, 46 percent of respondents believed that the Republican party is “better able to handle most important problem.” Just 41 percent of those surveyed believed the Democrats are more equipped.
Furthermore, 50 percent of participants noted that they believe that Republicans are “better able to keep America prosperous,” while just 44 percent of respondents favored Democrats to lead American prosperity.
Republicans took a massive 14-point lead on one issue that continues to make headlines: America’s safety from international threats. As the border crisis looms on, and American leaders continue funding the war in Ukraine, the threat of internal struggles or an attack on American soil remains a major concern for millions of voters.
Trump has repeatedly called for the end of the war in Ukraine. RSBN covered his July rally in Doral, Florida where the 45th president reaffirmed, “We will prevent the whole world from entering World War 3.”
This helps support why 54 percent of the Gallup poll respondents believed that Republicans are “better able to keep America safe from international threats,” as opposed to just 40 percent of participants preferring Democrats on this issue.
