Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene ripped the Democratic Party’s message of “unity” Tuesday in an interview, stating how the left has been “vilifying” and “demonizing” the GOP.

During an interview with Real America’s Voice host Natalie Winters, Greene called out President Joe Biden and fellow Democratic lawmakers for pushing a “unity” message while simultaneously calling President Donald Trump a dictator.

“I remember when Joe Biden took office, he came out with this unity message — unify, unity. And then the Democrats proceeded to rip our borders wide open and actually create an illegal invasion into our country that’s murdering Americans every single day. Then they have spent the past eight years vilifying us [and] demonizing us,” Greene began.

Greene continued to call out former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton calling Trump supporters “basket of deplorables” in 2016, with the party additionally using terms such as “fascist” and stating Trump would be a “threat to democracy.”

“Then they turned the Department of Justice against us. Weaponizing our justice system against people that protested the election on January 6, against Catholics having Latin Mass, against parents wanting to hold their school boards accountable, against pro-life protesters protesting against abortion,” Greene said. “Put Peter Navarro in prison. Steve Bannon is in prison right now.”

The Georgia representative noted how Democratic Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson, a Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security, introduced a bill earlier this year to remove Secret Service protection from anyone convicted of a felony and sentenced to prison — which could pose a threat to Trump’s protection.

“No, we’re not unifying with that there is no unity with that,” Greene said.

Following the failed assassination attempt against Trump last weekend at his Pennsylvania rally, GOP lawmakers were quick to call out rhetoric from the Democratic Party in how they have been labeling Trump.

During an exclusive interview with “NBC Nightly News,” Biden was pressed by show host Lester Holt on using the term “to put Trump in the bullseye” when talking to donors on a private call last week. While Biden admitted it was a “mistake,” he tossed the blame to Trump as he questioned why he couldn’t call out Trump’s “rhetoric.”
