President Donald Trump reacted on Tuesday to a leak of U.S. military leak involving Israel’s plans against Iran.

Trump argued that the military must find the person responsible, claiming that Israel no longer wants to share documents with the U.S.

“U.S. leaked highly confidential Documents from Israel. May have come from Defense Department,” Trump wrote.

“Israel has been seriously damaged and compromised by this. Wartime strategy and data. Probably came from Defense Department. MUST FIND THE LEAKER! Israel no longer wants to share documents with U.S., and who can blame them!” he added.

Federal intelligence agents confirmed on Sunday that top secret documents were leaked on the Telegram app under the username “Middle_East_Spectator.” An active investigation is underway, according to the Pentagon.

“If it is true that Israeli tactical plans to respond to Iran’s attack on October 1st have been leaked, it is a serious breach,” Mick Mulroy, former deputy assistant secretary of defense for the Middle East told CNN.

“Trust is a key component in [the US-Israel] relationship, and depending on how this was leaked that trust could be eroded,” Mulroy added.

The documents reportedly began leaking Friday evening.

The news of the leak also came as a Hezbollah drone infiltrated airspace near Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home over the weekend. No damage occurred, but security measures have been heightened following the incident.

The leaked documents follow ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. Iran reportedly operated behind the scenes of Hamas as it conducted attacks in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, that killed over 1,200 Israelis.

Iran has also since conducted two missile strikes toward Israel, including a recent strike involving over 180 missiles targeting major cities across the nation.

Israel has vowed to respond to the military aggression, though no actions have yet been taken. In related operations, Israeli Defense Forces killed Oct. 7 mastermind Yahya Sinwar on Oct. 16, sparking outrage among Hamas leaders and military leaders in Iran.

Trump has publicly addressed the conflict between Iran and its proxies against Israel, claiming that Oct. 7 would have never happened if he had been in office. During his four years in the White House, he helped broker the Abraham Accords, the first peace agreement between Israel and its neighbors in more than two decades.
