Officials in Texas are determined to combat the border crisis despite a recent Supreme Court ruling that determined that the federal government’s power overrules the state’s decision to install razor wire.

RSBN reported that Supreme Court Justices Amy Coney Barrett and John Roberts sided with their left-leaning colleagues in a 4-5 temporary order regarding the use of razor wire and state’s rights.

This came just after the House Oversight Committee released a shocking new report titled “Crisis at the Border,” per RSBN. It details how Border Patrol agents are unable to properly secure the border due to Biden administration policies, leaving the United States vulnerable to public health and national security threats.

But Texas officials are now defying the Supreme Court decision. Instead of removing the razor wire, as instructed, the Texas military was seen adding even more razor wire at the border on Wednesday.

Founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, posted video footage to X, stating, “NEW—The Texas National Guard responds to the Supreme Court’s order to remove the razor wire in Eagle Pass by installing even more. Governor Abbott has said “Texas will not back down” as it defends its border. HOLD THE LINE TEXAS.”

News Nation National Correspondent Jorge Ventura also posted video footage of the added razor wire. He wrote, “Texas Military doubling down by installing more razor wire and anti-climb fencing in Shelby Park. This coming after  SCOTUS ruling that allows border patrol agents to cut through the razor wire.”

“Texas officials have seized control of Shelby Park – we have not seen BP agents try to come in and cut the wire,” he added.

The Biden administration has remained steadfast in their opposition against razor wire being utilized at the border, despite having used it against Americans to “secure” the White House after Joe Biden took over the presidency in 2021, via CNN.
