Title 42, the Trump era mandate which was set to prevent migrants from entering the US, was to expire on May 23 but was blocked by a lawsuit filed by several states citing that the move to strike down the law ?failed to meet standards set by the Administrative Procedure Act? and that there is no permanent solution to handling the inevitable surge in immigration. In a seemingly stunning blow to American sovereignty, the United States Supreme Court has ruled that the Biden administration may remove razor wire placed in Texas at the southern border that was meant to deter the onslaught of illegal migration.

The ruling was made on Monday in a 4-5 decision, with Supreme Court Justices Amy Coney Barrett and John Roberts siding with the court’s more left-leaning justices.

According to The New York Times, the ruling was a temporary order in an ongoing case between Texas and the Biden administration regarding the concertina wire that is being utilized at the border to attempt to stop the ceaseless flow of illegal migrants coming into the country.

National Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin wrote on X, “Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, & Kavanaugh all dissented. Roberts & Barrett sided w/ left leaning justices to rule in Biden admin’s favor & allow Border Patrol to remove the razor wire.”

He reported on X that the “majority of the razor wire is deployed in the Shelby Park area of Eagle Pass – city owned property that the state of TX recently seized control of with armed soldiers – and kicked the federal government out.”

Melugin astutely observed that the Border Patrol would have to be allowed back into this vicinity to take the wire down. He stated, “If they refuse – what happens? This is potentially setting up a significant state vs federal showdown if push comes to shove.”

A record-high number of illegals have flooded into the United States since Joe Biden took office. In December 2023, more than 302,000 illegal migrant encounters were recorded at the border, making it the highest-ever month recorded.

President Trump has often postulated that as many as 16 million people will likely have illegally immigrated into the United States by the end of Joe Biden’s term in office.
