Navy SEALs criticize Biden: ‘Why don’t they mandate we rescue our citizens and save their lives as well over in Afghanistan?’

A group of retired U.S. Navy SEALs heavily criticized the Biden administration for focusing more on mandating vaccines than rescuing American citizens left behind in Afghanistan.

During a Fox News interview on Thursday, Morgan Luttrell, who is running for Texas’ 8th Congressional District, slammed Biden’s Covid-19 protocols. He inquired, if the administration truly cared about the American people, “why don’t they mandate we rescue our citizens and save their lives as well over in Afghanistan?”

“If the Biden administration is so concerned about saving American lives with these mandates, these mask mandates and so on so forth, why don’t they mandate we rescue our citizens and save their lives as well over in Afghanistan? Luttrell said.

“I was fortunate enough to run into an interpreter that served with us overseas for so long, in the past couple of weeks, and his family is still over there,” he continued. “And he pleaded with us, he begged us, he’s like, ‘Who do I need to get to help me get my family over?’ He spoke perfect English. Where’s that at?”

“All Biden has to do is say let’s do this, let’s mandate this. Task Milley, task Austin, and go get our people. If Big Pharma’s pumping that much money into the DNC that all you’re hearing on the news is about mandates and vaccines, why don’t we get some people to say the same thing about our citizens overseas and bring them home?”

First Liberty Institute, a non-profit public interest law firm, on Tuesday filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of numerous U.S. Navy SEALs and various other Naval Special Warfare personnel against the Biden administration and the Department of Defense for rejecting religious exemptions to the Covid-19 vaccine mandate.

“The fact that the government has not granted a single religious exemption from the vaccine mandate shows that the Biden Administration does not care about religious freedom. Instead, this appears to be an attempted ideological purge. Forcing a service member to choose between their faith and serving their country is abhorrent to the Constitution and America’s values,” said Mike Berry, General Counsel for First Liberty Institute. “After all these elite warriors have done to defend our freedoms, the Navy is now threatening their careers, families, and finances. It’s appalling and it has to stop before any more harm is done to our national security.”

The organization further claimed that the Department of Defense is acting in violation of the First Amendment, federal law, and DOD regulations.

According to American Military News, this filing represents about 35 active-duty Navy SEALs and three reservists who are rejecting the Covid-19 mandate over their Christian religious beliefs.
