President Donald Trump may be taking the concept of “draining the swamp” to the next level if he gets a second term in the White House in 2024.
According to a new report from Axios, a 2025 Trump administration is reportedly already making plans to fire thousands of government employees under an executive order called “Creating Schedule F in the Excepted Service.”
Axios revealed that the order, allegedly written during the final days of Trump’s term in office, intends to cut countless mid-level government employees who influence policymaking and relegate them to “Schedule F” employees. They would then reportedly be reassigned.
The report stated: “They [Trump’s allies] say Schedule F will finally end the ‘farce’ of a nonpartisan civil service that they say has been filled with activist liberals who have been undermining GOP presidents for decades.”
Although President Trump has not officially announced whether he will run for president again in 2024, he has all but indicated that he will. A new report from The Washington Post revealed that two of Trump’s advisors anonymously told them he might announce his decision before the midterm elections in November.
Trump himself has further stated that he had already made the decision on whether to run again in an interview with New York Magazine.
If Trump returns to the White House in 2025, Schedule F would enable his administration to cut through the red tape of governmental bureaucracy and remove personnel who stand in the way of strong America First policies.
Axios reported that although Biden rescinded the Schedule F executive order shortly after he took office, Trump could easily pick it back up and implement it within the first 100 days of a projected second term.
